Life is Busy!

Boy, is it ever! The holiday season is busy for most. If you have kids, getting back into the swing of them having school after a break becomes a different kind of busy. Making that transition between one kind of busy and another takes an adjustment period.

In addition, if you’re anything like me, you stay busy all the time with personal projects, writing, family, house, reading a book or ten simultaneously. I named this blog “Be Still & Ponder…” as a reminder to slow down. Become intentional about being present where ever you are and schedule time to do nothing. Sometimes this means finding help to get projects done so you can focus on things that really matter in your life.

There is time in the day to sit and be still. Often, making the space in your schedule to quiet your mind and body can help with productivity and creativity in other areas of life. Personally, if my brain is constantly thinking about all I have in my schedule, I don’t have the room for creativity. That’s detrimental to me as a writer. In order to foster my creativity, I need to sit and “be” rather than be doing something with every spare moment.

The purpose of this site is two-fold. First, I want to share strategies and tips to find the ability to Be Still & Ponder…. Second, I want to offer myself as a freelance copy writer and editor and my experience as a writer. By offering my time, I hope to help you find the time you need to be still, but also be productive by helping you achieve your goals in writing. You might also find inspiration to take that all important next step in your career or relationship. I would love to hear back from you if you do.

I’m working to find balance in my life and I hope to share some ways that work for me, and they might work for you too. I am also learning more about the world of writing and feel I can share what I’m learning so you too can be successful.

Read more about my background and professional history on my About and Work History pages. Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you have any questions.
