About

Grammar and writing haven’t always been loves. My understanding of grammar was hazy beyond the basics until I was nearly 30. I attended university and ended up in an English degree by default. During my time in the degree program, two things happened. First, I got sick of having to go into the writing lab for help with scoring higher than a C on papers. Second, my natural curiosity for the English language pushed me into all the grammar classes I could find. My professors had a passion for the language, and in turn, that created a love for the English language in me. In the years since university, I have continued to be employed within my area of expertise. Now grammar and writing are part of who I am.

Perhaps you are in the same place I was with grammar years ago. That’s okay. There are people who love grammar and can help to improve your writing and make it ready to publish. I would love to help.

There are many projects I have been part of from copy editing and fact checking photography books to senior essays for a high school student I tutored. I am currently working for a new bridal magazine, but I have also written government and private grants, procedure manuals, blogs and content for websites. If you are here to check out my work, you can see more about my work history here.

My blogs are here to help inspire those who want to write or are working on writing something and need encouragement and advice. Writing is a process and the first drafts are usually really bad. No matter what shape they are in, they can always be made better.

I am working through telling my stories too. Hopefully soon, I will have a link to share a novel I am working on.
